In Home Engagement in Kitchener | Mandy+David

February 12, 2023

There’s something special about an in-home engagement session, especially when it takes place in the morning. The sun is just starting to peek through the windows, and the world is still quiet and peaceful. That’s exactly how Mandy and David’s morning engagement session began.

The couple started the day by making a fresh pot of coffee together. The aroma filled the kitchen, and they took turns grinding the beans and pouring the water. As they sipped their coffee, they took a moment to appreciate the quiet of the morning and each other’s company.

As the morning went on, Mandy and David cozied up on the couch with their shared journal. They took turns writing down their thoughts and feelings, sharing their hopes and dreams for their future together. It was a beautiful moment to witness as they opened up to each other, trusting each other with their deepest thoughts and emotions. They laughed, cuddled, and kissed, creating a warmth that filled the room.

After writing in their journal, Mandy and David put on their favorite record, Neil Young’s Harvest Moon. They swayed together in the living room, taking in the warmth of the morning sun and the soft melody of the music. It was slow and intimate, and it felt like time had slowed down just for them.

As the photographer, I felt so privileged to capture these moments for Mandy and David. Their love for each other was palpable, and it radiated throughout their home. Their morning engagement session reminded me that sometimes, the simplest moments can be the most meaningful. It’s in the quiet of the morning, over a cup of coffee, and through shared experiences that we truly connect with the ones we love.

Mandy and David’s in-home engagement session was slow, cozy, and full of love. It was a beautiful reminder that love is about sharing the small moments together, and cherishing the time we have with each other. It’s about dancing to your favorite songs, making coffee together, and writing in a shared journal. It’s about savoring the moments, and finding joy in the everyday.
