Autumn in Hamilton – Couple Session

Some seasons are magical for their light and weather. Fall is one of my favourite times to do couples sessions. The colors alone are to die for. So when Joe and Emily wanted to do their couples session on a dreamy fall evening, I was all for it.

These two are pure outdoors people. They regulars on the hiking trails and often do camping trips. I knew they would be up to explore this Hamilton park.

This park is one of my favourites in the area and happens to be half way between where we both live. It boasts large fields filled with the gentlest of taupe grass and the soundscapes of birds. The place gives off the country/Montana vibe in the middle of Hamilton, Ontario.

Before this session I learnt about these two. One of my favourite things I heard about is how much Joe takes care of Emily. I made sure to capture the little moments in-between shots when Joe was nurturing. For Joe he loved Emily’s joy for life and laughter. Which was easy to see why. Full body giggles and happiness makes Emily Joes moth to a flame.

These two are a yin and yang who moved in tandem with each others energy. They lead each other as we explored around the landscape. Watching sunsets and cuddling one another on a fall evening for this couples session was gold.

Joe wanted to make sure we grabbed some shots with his truck as the end of the night. A country boy at heart and a farm girl raised. That beast fit the vibe of this shoot so well though. Not to mention they both had cowboy boots for this part of the session. More cars might be in the future of shoots for me.
