Last year Gerald and Annya messaged me about shooting their intimate wedding. As it turned out I was already booked for their wedding date. After talking more and they still wanted me to do bridal styled photos on the weekend following. We landed on doing a forest elopement outside of Toronto to keep it fresh. I was super happy I still got to be a part of their journey!

They asked me for my recommendations on areas that were in their own right hidden gems. Trusting me enough to pick a place I had wanted to shoot a couple at for a long time. Rockwood Conservation Area is once of my favourite places in Ontario. It has the pure magic of cottage country only 15 minutes away from big cities. It is in my humble opinion pure magic.

Love and Magic at Sunset

We hiked around on one of the warmest November days, catching all the last bits of light we could manage. Chatting about the Lord of the Rings, our crafts and talking about life. Annya changed into her other wedding dress by the beach. She wanted to make sure both of her unique and wonderful dresses got their time to shine. A soft green dress pulling all the romantic feels.

It was such a blast getting to meet them and capture their quiet and intimate love. I hope you enjoy seeing these forest elopement just outside of Toronto as much as I do.

Towering limestone cliffs, caves and glacial potholes, including one of the world’s largest, are a few of the natural wonders at the Rockwood Conservation Area. You can view them from hiking trails on both sides of the Eramosa River or in a rented canoe. The conservation area has over 65,000 visitors a year from near and far and offers excellent recreational opportunities only a short distance from major metropolitan areas.
